"When did it become offensive to call an ugly girl ugly? I remember lots of folks calling JLH horsehead. And you always get people in the ever popular babe threads who use the 'U' word. Are you people who are jumping to the defense of Williams doing so out of some 'chivalry' mindset or is it a black and white thing? Honestly."
Hon', if I called you guys ugly, how would you guys respond? It's the same way you feel that someone else feels. Better even, what if I dwelled on it all day?
I have no problem with people having an opinion that she's ugly. But pushing it on and on and basically harassing her indirectly and disturbing the peace of others is not funny. Super Cyrix has been all over this subject. How much longer will he be?
I won't even ask 'cuz I bet none of you guys making those noises are anything to write home about in appearance. I bet even if were to accept that these girls were really guys, they'll beat you men in appearance. It's one thing if they posed as supermodels or claimed to be all that, but it's another when they are doing their job and make no comments about their looks. Neither of the sisters have made comments about their looks, so stop dwelling on it forever. Dwelling on it forever means you either don't have confidence in yourselves or you are so in love with or jealous of the girls. But you know you can't have them or their skills.
A subject like stalking is no joke. People stalk for different reasons. It isn't all about looks. It may be something else as simple as the way you do certain things, your talent, popularity etc. that attracts someone to stalk you (i.e., leads to obssession). Sometimes it makes no sense . . . it' a sudden rush of feelings and urge inexplicable. So, stalking is no joke. People could be hurt. Their lives could be miserable. It is not something to start some endless comment about one's appearance. One thread about her appearance is enough.
Now, this had me laughing in a pathetic sense: "Williams' mother, Oracene, told the Washington Post on Wednesday that when Stromeyer was detained in Rome, 'he said Serena looked at him when he was in the crowd, and that's how he knew she loved him.'"
That's crazy and scary. And I know what that means and feels like to be stalked like that and receive comments like that. If you want to talk about her looks, take it elsewhere to the thread where that is the subject. But there's no clear correlation between looks and stalking. I don't think Monica Seles was all that when she was stabbed by some mad man. Hopefully it isn't some German thing! :Q I'm kidding there. But this really isn't a laughing matter. I wish the police will stop taking the matter mildly.
