Was that the one where the SUV drove into a dead end streat, then drove right back out passing 3+ cop cars?

I get the backing off and all, but sweet jesus, why didn't anyone block the street off?

Hasn't he played any of the GTA games? Trying to jack a car through the passenger side with cops chasing you = busted.

Why do chases last so long in LA?
In NYC, that guy would have been caught, handcuffed, and accidentally shot in the back within 5 minutes.

They figure car chases are community sponsored events here... And the liberals scream when the cops assassinate perps.

Too bad that woman didn't have a gun, she should've shot the guy in the face - then traded it out for the other gun in the back of the van and finished him off.

in NYC, a 400-lb alcoholic cop who's been smoking a pack a day since he was 13 can still walk faster than a car can drive.

Why weren't her doors locked??? Doesn't look like he reached in threw an open window instead it looks like he just opened the door.

Are people that stupid? I don't leave my driveway without locking the doors and I live in the country...

she was parked and sitting in her car, I would guess that she was getting ready to leave.

personally, I never think about locking my car doors when I'm actually inside of it... it will lock them automatically, but not for a few minutes.

No, she was sitting at a stop light which means she was out driving already.

I always lock my doors when I am driving around. It is a good habit to have.

BTW the cop that took down the bad guy was a chick! Woohoo you go girl.

My car (2005 GM) locks all doors whenever it's shifted out of park, this feature cannot be turned off, IDK what kind of car she was driving but if the windows were down it only takes a couple of seconds to unlock it..

Well, they CAN be turned off, or changed to several other options, if you know how!
Check chevytalk.org forums, the techs there and other have a lot of tricks!

In the video it does not look like he unlocked the door first though. He would have had to reach into the car first and his first action is grabbing the door handle.

I'll have to look again, in my particular car the knob is right there and one could unlock it in less than a second but I've seen lots of cars with the lock on the inside below the handle and that would delay entry while trying to find it.

Well I checked it out, up till 2004 one could defeat it but 2005 (mine) and newer it won't work, wish I could it's a PITA really..
