OK...I met this girl, since Summer 2005. At the time she was with a horrible verbally/psychologically abusive bf. They would periodically break up, but she wasn't mature enough, or in the right place to start something with. We've kept in touch over the last 18 months or so. So about a month ago we start talking again, she's been broken up with that guy for months, and she seems mature..(and I am as well)...so we start hanging out a bit in groups and wot not, then start making plans to hang out on our own...We decide to hang out for Valentine's day, and this past weekend we get to talking more about getting closer and wot not. So everything's fine...and then last night she tells me she thinks we're getting too close and we should take a break from hanging out and talking...I'm like wtf....basically from what I read her as saying was that she associates getting close with a guy as being 'possessed' by that guy (since her ex was a p.o.s. to her once they got close).
So my question is this, should I just leave her alone, and not talk to her at all for a while, or should I talk to her about it, like why she feels that when we get close I'm going to suddenly become possessive of her?
Other than that one flaw, honestly, there's nothing I dislike about this girl. It's really eating at me.
