He pays for the entire site by himself. Recently he has been experimenting with banner ads, and charging newbies for avatars and registeration. But he is still paying around 80% himself. And we are talking about $2000/month, enough to meet the montly payment of a very nice car.

There is so much mystery about this guy. Even though I joined that forum a long time ago, I wasn't very involved then. Seems like he has a sys admin type job, and drives a very nice looking Acura something. Other than that only some posters know how he really pays for it.

You can't run a site with 600 users active at once off of a shared hosting account. This site needs serveral servers to run it, plus a few experienced server admins to manage everything.
