I have this HSF and it's a good one as far as I'm conserned, keeps my 5000+ be nice and cool at a clock of 3.12g I may go back to liquid cooling and give this to my son tho, he has a q6600 with stock cooling.

Just another quick question. It says it works on an AM2, so it should work on an AM2+ right...or not?

yup, have it mounted on my ASUS M3A32-MVP deluxe, kinda tight for the 1st memory slot, but then I'm using Corsair Dominator that comes with the triple fan assembly.

I got this 2 weeks ago .. its definately got the looks and it seems to do a great job. Make sure you have a long star screwdriver as the two screws on the fan side are a PITA to install on my 775 mobo. IMHO .. this heatsink is very well polished, comes with a fan, a fan speed controller [which I don't use], and does cool my Q6600 quite well. Have a look at this thread to see temperatures under load.

Yes, make sure you have a screwdriver with a long shaft to get between the blades and the cooling fins to secure it on the motherboard. To make it easier, the fan is removable, but not easily-just wiggle it back and forth and get enough space underneath the base to pry it up with a screwdriver.
