I liked it, it showed one of the current treatments for a "brain attack" & if you've ever had a family member with an embolic stroke & seen the residual disability caused by it, it was an amazing episode.

I wish they'd get Morris out of there. He needs to be attacked by a patient that he insults and killed or something. Or bring in another helicopter and have it drop on him or something.

But it is good to see that Darlene has done something with her life since Rosanne and Dan were in dead end jobs.

it was a highly publicized episode and that's what NBC/ER wanted. Immediately following the ep, the news showed the new procedure involving this treatment for stroke, so it was obviously a big deal and planned. I hit the american stroke association page during the show (because my grandma was once affected and I wanted to check it out) ... and it appears as such... right there on the front page.

I sure wouldn't rate it in the top 5 of ER episodes but it wasn't all that bad. However next weeks episode looks pretty good. I was wondering if they were done with Gallant when he left for Iraq. It would appear not.

Watch they bring him back as an anti-war hippie with post traumatic stress disorder.

Awww, great episode. We are unsure about the ending crap. Its unlike anything I've seen from them lately. I loved Cynthia Nixon in Sex in the City, great performance last night. Last night Lucky & I talked about the irony of timing based on the apparant stroke of NE Patroits Tedy Bruschi.

That's how I feel about all the episodes in the past several years. I used to enjoy the show, but at some point it just got to be too much. Now I only watch it every once in a great while for background noise while playing WoW.

Not a bad ep. As someone else pointed out not necessarily top ten, but not bad at all. Plus, it had Tim Russ (ST:Voyager) guesting, along with Cynthia Nixon. I wonder if Sharif Atkins is coming back to ER since Hawaii got cancelled?

Dr. Chen disappeared with nothing more than an I quit too. I didn't really enjoy her character, but she was there for quite a while and deserves a better story/exit than that.

At least this "Very special" "Groundbreaking" episode does not have Sally Fields in it!

Wouldn't the whole story about her and her Dad and what ended up happening be a fair precursor/explanation, although I can see what you mean? They got rid of Corday rather abruptly as well.

LOL, Cythia Nixon was so funny. "omg, I can't feel my legs!" I like last night's episode. Carter's expression when he got dumped 'cause he talked to his ex was hilarious.

I believe Corday made a moral judgment (for the good of the patient) which violated rules... and she was "questioned" about it. Peace.

Meanwhile, you have Carter doing the same thing with the pharmaceutical deal a few eps ago and nothing happens to him... except he had to speak on camera about it.

That's more of a backstory. Chen just couldn't take that particular shift Susan needed her to... it was an ultimatum really... so she said she quit. That was it. Of all the things to leave on...
