Question no.1🙂dvd+r 16x/dvd-r 8x, what is that?Why an option it burn 8x and the other 16x

Question no.2🙂I want to still use my old 52x24x52 liteon cd burner( to preserve the lifespan of my dvd writer ) will both be compatible?Its because 3 month ago, i bought a LG dvd burner, and i was not able to use both(i was only able to use one of the writer )

1). not sure of the reasons, but +r and -r are two different formats, seems like you should be able to burn both at 16x...maybe a hacked firmware would give you that option?
2). you should be able to use both regardless, just make sure if they are on the saem ide channel that one is jumpered to master and the other to slave.
3). not sure what is best with that burner but ritek seems to always be a good choice, ritek g04 or g05.... cheap too
