Nope, it's correct. There is an actual HTT, which is a hyper transport bus that the processor uses to communicate with other components. The HTT bus rate that your looking at is what the processor uses to set it's own clock, it's also used for overclocking.

The actual HTT runs at 1000mhz and that's what's being adjusted in the bios, I say leave it at auto.

Ok, new question. Trying to find my max HTT. 205 works, however when I go to 210 its stops at POST with a msg about "running in safe mode, please go to CMOS and reset CPU freq." What gives? If I boot past that and go to windows CPU-Z reads default settings.
