I propose we fix this situation a bit by buying more stuff from Amazon and reducing our reliance on Apple products. Keep your iPhone for 7 years! Thank you.

Shocking that for the most part that list is comprised of some of the biggest scumbag-companies in corporate America.... these are the 21st century version of "robber-barons" like the railroads and telegraph companies before them.

The only way any of these evil bastard companies will loosen their grip is if they're forced to do so either by regulation or fair competition.

seems like Gross margin would be a better thing to look at. quick searches, so could be wrong.
apple is 20-25% looks like
walmart ~25%
facebook ~26%
amazon ~ 40%!! holy shit.
wellsfargo: ~ 20-25%

oil companies ~ 8 to 10% avg- I am surprised they did not make the list with the volumes they have though.

No chance AMZN and WMT have higher gross margins than AAPL does. Amazon's e-commerce business has actually lost money the past two quarters; but AWS generates healthy profits and growth.
