This computer, a menace to computer society!!!!

Ok, I have gutted this computer, put it back together, reformatted, reinstalled, re-everything with it.... yet I still get the same stupid ILLEGAL OPERATIONS ERROR every day when I turn it on, boot up, and open my IE page. I have cleaned so much spyware off my computer it is nuts. Yet I still have the same problem. After I get there error and it closes IE down, low and behold it has just disabled my active desktop to. Someone want to enlighten me, cause the next step is into the yard for a wholesome round of target practice.

I thought maybe hardware conflict too, but it didn't start doing this until about a week ago. I put this computer together with all kinds of parts I had laying around. It worked like a dream up until my ex.... might I say that again EX roommate started looking at porn.

OH and for the brilliant of mind, when you don't have enough hard drive and memory to put XP pro on the computer, and yes I did try. Duh what is the next step besides ripping the OS out of my system. And hell no to ME.

If you have reinstalled everything and it's still not working, isn't it enough clue that something is wrong with your hardware??

my bet goes to the ram being the problem

that is a high possiblity, but why would the ram be just fine one day, and then the next I am about to throw the computer out the window. I don't do alot of downloading. I keep my resources high by keeping everything pretty much shut off. I could have only a messenger and a webpage open, and it will happen, and then it won't happen in other situations where I have 4 messengers open, and 5 webpages.
