check out DNF's website: "When we're close to release we'll tell you. ANY website whatsoever that thinks they have some kind of secret information is wrong."

It'll be done when it's done.

From 3DRealms:

The release date of this game is "When it's done". Anything else, and we mean anything else is someone's speculation.

I told myself in 98-99 .. "All I need is this voodoo2+ati rage and I can play DNF when it comes out in a few months!" Thats all I remember...

It's a lie. Halo2 for the X-box will be out before old Duke ever breaks out his cane. And DNF will probably suck too.

at this point, who cares. it's a complete joke. empires have risen and fallen in the time it's taken to develop that stupid game.

No. 3DRealms is quite well stocked financially, so there's no financial need to get it done. It's up to the developers to put it out when they feel like it. Max Payne was built on the same philosophy, and was probably one of the more groundbreaking games(if not one of the better games) of its time.

Max Payne was a "play it once and delete" game. It was pretty cool though but not cool enough to re-install.

Few single player FPS games are. DoomIII will have replayability, but that's only because its dark atmosphere affords more goodies and secrets than most games.

I'm still playing Duke Nukem 3D, but I've given up holding my breath for DNF. :(

Max Payne's gimmick was done a while before in Requiem: Avenging Angel.

Requiem looks like a completely different game. For starters, it's an FPS where MP is a TPS. What's your point?
