Having lived in UAE for 18 years, that is NOT the UAE flag but the flag of Saudi Arabia.

actually, that's not alot of blood at all....really. blood disperses very easily and what looks like alot of blood to the lay person, really isn't. you'd be surprised what ALOT of blood looks like.
 
I have seen worse from that. A lot of the apparent damage is from the extraction. They cut the pillars and peeled the roof back to extract the driver and passanger.
 
actually, im not surprised the X5 crushed like a can. ive seen photos of X5 crashes and its pretty much the same look.

Looks like the front passenger compartment held up pretty well, considering that much of the twisted metal may have been from extraction.
