I'm a big fan of Youngs Double Chocolate Stout, but I will have to try this stuff out if I can find it locally.

I love Brooklyn Brewery's beers.

I regular a certain bar because they carry a few of them.

Their pumpkin ale is out right now and it's freakin' delicious!

I've never tried that one, however, it looks like it would be VERY VERY VERY good.

The closest I've had is Rogue's Chocolate Stout. It's not an everyday beer, but it is definatly wonderful.

I'll need to get my hands on a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout

It looks like it's even rated higher than the Rogue, which is pretty amazing considering it's in the top 2%.

Ratebeer: Rogue Chocolate Stout
Ratebeer: Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout

I will now toot my own horn and brag about my own personal favorite beer.
St Bernardus abt 12
This stuff is AMAZING.

It's tastes lightly like bittersweet dark chocolate & coffee. Not milk chocolate at all. Being that hops are naturally bitter, it's practically a perfect pairing.

I've had both, Youngs Double Choc Stout is one of my all time faves. The Brooklyn version is good but not nearly as good as Youngs.

OP, if you like the Brooklyn version, treat yourself to some Youngs Double Chocolate Stout, it's THE best.

depends on the liquor store, I know right up the street from me we have of the best in the country called La Bodega (Riverside, CA) if they don't carry it, they will special order it as long as you order a loooot. I'd say they have 300 types of beer at any given time. I picked up some 13% german beer but I'm scared to drink it. Dude who works there said it tastes really bad.

living by a killer liquor store is a sweet thing :)

Given that you live in New England, fairly likely. Infact, if you live in the boston area, I can tell you exactly where to find it.
