Turkey is our aliy. What make our enemies from thinking that we give a crap and wouldnt blow then them up
Turkey's military is on par with Israel's military. Add a larger population and Turkey's military is untouchable by anyone in the M.E who is Arab or Persian.
Nobody in the M.E would dare start a war with Turkey. They would get slapped so hard it would leave a scar for life.
As far as our "enemies", they include Iran, Syria and Former Iraq.
Iran is the enemy of the U.S because they nationalized their oil.
Syria is an enemy of the U.S because they are friends with Iran.
Iraq is an enemy of the U.S because we love Saudi Arabia and all the other mini oil nations more.
So it comes down to oil.
Europe and the Middle East were at war for centuries. The new European powers have not stopped this. What makes the Middle East (now read as Iran ) think that the US/UK in not going to invade

It was an easy tasks. Iraq had no military and the people went into their homes when the U.S tanks rolled into Baghdad.
Iraq had no weapons programs and most of their weapons were rusting.
Most of the population was against Saddam.

An attack on Syria is not even on the table. If it was, the media would make it obvious that Syria has stockpiles of Iranian weapons but they don't make that connection. Plus a Syria attack is Against Israel's wishes.

:beer:Im not trying to be a dick. But it make me laugh when I hear about how bad ass our military is. My friend is a sniper and is truely bad ass but is never allowed to do anything.
Its gotten to the point where we dont need a new nuke carrier or a new new sub of a new destroyer....We have the best and noone is EVEN close and this still is not going to stop the types of attacks that we are going to have to defend against
