I have never in my entire life heard the expression, "Third time's A charm." Always read, or heard the expression used with a "THE".

Indeed... I can't believe "a" is winning... I thought it was like "I could(n't) care less" and most people knew the right answer but were too lazy to pronounce the extra syllable.

It's most often said following two failed actions or immediately following a successful third action.

If said before the third attempt, the 'A' is appropriate.
eg. Well, you know what they say, "Third time's a charm!"

If said after a third successful attempt, the 'THE' is appropriate.
eg. Yup, third time's the charm.

Well, that sounds reasonable.

I've never heard it said with "the," only "a."

Third time's the charm...doesn't seem to make as much sense, and just doesn't sound or look correct.

"A" charm? I've honestly never heard it used that way......😕

Anyway - The third time's the charm! 😛

I can't believe there are so many brain dead idiots in here who think it's 'A'. If you'd pull your head out of your ass and actaully think about the meaning of the phrase, you'd realize how stupid 'A' sounds.
