Third party software for "Ipod"

Rubycon

Madame President
Does this exist?

Forget bloated I tunes! A driver so it can be "hooked into" a computer and "seen" as a removable drive. Send your files to this and eject the device and you're all set. I guess this is easier said than done. If the (Ipod) was true hardware it could do this? No? Anyone know about Ipod FOS?

What does this extension do exactly? Can it also support HQVBR?

I suppose a better question would be what are the limits of the IPOD hardware/firmware decoding?

Ephpod, although you can't drag and drop. But the app itself is very small in side and the interface is very easy to use.

Sheesh so it looks like I'll actually have to buy one of these (Ipods) and play with it.

The POINT of the thread was to find out if anyone has experience with this player. I really don't like pondering the idea of spending $300 for something that winds up sitting in a drawer collecting dust. I have more than a fair share of that stuff you know.

How would i know? Plus if you really had your "fair share of stuff" then your computer would be able to handle a simple program like itunes. Granted you could use many of the other programs, but is your computer that obsolete?

It's not a matter of handling the program I don't like the software. My computer must be pretty a-ok since I have no speed issues that a lot of people seem to complain about with common softwares.

If you don't know why reply with a slap about another member coming under a new username? Who is the troll here?
