Hi,

I've got a Gigabyte Gaming OC 3090 Ti with two Samsung G9 Neo 49" monitors connected via DisplayPort 1.4 (5120x1440).
I have my third monitor -- the Ark Odyssey 55" (3840x2160) connected via HDMI 2.1.

For some reason the third monitor is not displaying any picture. When I go to the settings, I can see it there but it is not selected / usable.
If I disconnect one of the G9's then the Ark appears again.

I've attached some screenshots.

I am running latest NVIDIA graphics and I have tried setting the G9's to 60Hz each but the Ark still doesn't show any picture.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be or how I could try to diagnose?

Cheers,
SB

Has it worked before or did you just add a monitor?
The Ark monitor worked just fine in a dual setup -- one G9 over DP1.4 and the Ark over HDMI 2.1.
Now that I've added another G9 (2x G9 over DP1.4) the Ark no longer comes on.

If I remove one of the G9's, the Ark suddenly starts displaying picture again.

Max resolution of current cards is 7680x4320. With the 2 G9s your resolution is 5120x2880. When you add the Ark, regardless of where you put it, you are exceeding the max resolution (either 8960x2880 or 5120x5040).

Well damn. Is that something they could solve via software or is it a hardware thing?
I guess I'll need a separate card to power the Ark.

Thanks for your help!

AMD has the same limitation, but not sure if it is hardware of software related. That's a ton of pixels you have there! I have no idea how you're wanting to use all that real estate! I have 3 24" 1920x1080 monitors and trying to visualize your setup is tough. I imagine the G9s aren't quite as wide as my 3 monitors and I can see having 2 of them stacked on top of each other, but then I can't figure out where the other monitor would go without having to turn my head a lot. :tearsofjoy:

Haha yes it is a ton of pixels. I had no idea I'd run into this limitation -- I guess a second GPU is the only option now. I just made a new thread about advice on it :tearsofjoy:

The G9's are on an Atdec dual mount and both of the Ark's are to the left and right in vertical orientation. Roughly 80cm away.
There is a bit of head turning involved but I find the real estate beneficial.

Actually, I was thinking on this. The 7680x4320 resolution is 33 million pixels and apparently you're able to run four 4k monitors (same number of pixels as an 8k monitor.
My 2 G9's are slightly below 4k resolution (14m pixels vs 16m) so theoretically those + another two 4k monitors should be fine.

Maybe the issue I'm having is more mixing DisplayPort and HDMI, or something else. Nevertheless, I have ordered a new 3060 to run them so fingers crossed there are no issues there!

Run what you game on, on the 3090 solo.
Run the other monitors on the 3060.

Here is how i split mine up.

My 2 4K setups are on my 3070ti, and the main gaming display is on a 3090 with my Occulus Rift S.
