Thinner LED tv screens bending?

Fact or fiction?
Do the thinner LED televisions bend?
A few days ago I read a comment from a LED tv owner who said he moved the tv and when he turned it on the screen flashed and went blank. He said he grabbed the edge of the tv to turn it. The tv was a few weeks old and he called the manufacturer for warranty service and they will replace the screen. The company also said something about the thinner LED sets not being as sturdy, etc.
Has anyone had any experience with anything like this?

sounds like a made up excuse from the company

Not necessarily, my GF bought a new sammy led hdtv and it is soo thin that when I was adjusting it left and right I noticed that the screen did slightly bend. Scared the crap outta me but I tested it and it did bend. Still working tho.

Yeah, the thin screens are definitely more flexible. My most recent experience was with a Sony KDL-55HX820 and it flexed like a thin piece of glass. There's really no space in the panel for any sort of reinforcing structure.
