I've tried disabling / auto-disabling the trackpoint completely and still the MS Intellimouse's functions can't be modified from default. Installing the Intellipoint software should allow me to see/change the mouse button setup, but it still shows the WIN2k default mouse properties from control panel.
Device Manager shows that the IBM Trackpoint mouse drivers are being used, but if I change it to the Intellimouse drivers (as installed into the Intellimouse directory) it will say Microsoft Intellimouse in Device Manager. This is all good, but if I try to go into mouse properties, it will STILL show the default WIN2k mouse properties box, and not the Intellipoint mouse property box. There's no way for me to adjust the Intellimouse buttons!
Any ideas?
