Thinkpad X60/X60s question (FOUND ANSWER)

These laptops seem to have great battery life, from the few reviews I can find. About the 8-cell battery: does it extend out past the end of the case, and if so by how much?

Edit: Sorry, found a picture of the battery JUST after posting this. It seems to extend out the back of the case by about an inch. So much for that model.

That's standard for the Thinkpad line. It's the best design for having multiple battery options. You add cels, the battery gets bigger and heavier. This way they can offer smaller, lighter models but with great battery life with the proper config.

I have an extended poking out the back of mine. It makes a great handle/grip for when I'm moving around with it,a nd the battery life is worth it.
