Anyone ever tried to replace mobo/processor etc. in an old ibm thinkpad(550 model)? I'm getting 3 of em soo and was wondering if it might be feasible to replace mobo/processor and maybe harddrive and cd-rom drive etc.? Perhaps even make a mobile duron out of it? I really have no clue when it comes to laptops, but I'm assuming that they're pretty much the same beast inside. Is there any standardization as far as power connectors and/or lcd connectors on laptops?
