Thinkpad t60p cooling

Hey, I have a Thinkpad t60p 15 inch lenovo laptop and I can run half life 2 and guild wars on medium just fine but the battery and video card gets very hot around an hour of play. Does anyone know a laptop pc temperture monitor software i can download for free or something like that. I do not want to damage my motherboard. Thanks!
