I just got my T43 from Lenovo. Wow, this thing is sweet. I am double checking everything I ordered and testing everything out and found something interesting. I am running windows XP pro and when I right click 'My Computer' and go to properties I get this:

MyComp.jpg

I should have a 533MHz FSB, there it shows 782MHz. Other times I boot up it shows around 330 MHz. Can anyone else confirm this? Anyone have an explaination? I am gonna call Lenovo but I figured I'd check here first.

I got the intel processor identifier and it says 533MHz FSB but I have never seen windows do that before, anyone else?

Your chip's speedstep is toggling the CPU speed up/down depending on system load. Should be 800MHz at idle, but 786 is close enough.
Oh, and uh, your three posts are all within 7 minutes. Just edit your original post.

Yeah, sorry about that.

Don't use 'System Properties' to check your CPU speed - it rarely gets the speed right. In fact, it's rarely even remotely close to the actual speed.

Good to hear you like the T43. What do you think of the fan noise?

I've got a T43P now.. and the fan noise really isn't that noticeable.

I haven't put too much court time on it. Fans don't bother me much, I am used to them. I will post more after I use it for a month or 2.
