Thinkpad T43 battery question

If I buy a T43, I need to pick a primary battery. I'd prefer the 6-cell if the 9-cell juts out the back of the case, especially because I can add a modular-bay battery and still get decent battery life. I can't find any information or pictures that will help me-- does anyone know? Thanks.
