Thinkpad Help

I have an IBM Thinkpad R31 and I absolutely hate the hard drive (Travelstar). It's loud, slow, and doesn't work half the time (reminds me of all my old 75GXPs that have died). I was looking at the Toshiba 5400 rpm hard drives and they are the same size as the one in my hard drive now, so would it work/fit and all that into the Thinkpad?

Yes the drive sizes are standard. One thing to check before you do this is what laptop drivers you need for sound, modem, video, LAN, power, etc (you might go into settings > system and jot down the sound chip type, video type, etc).
