Thinkpad A31p with memory PC2700, how fast can it get?

Hi,

The spec on A31p is using PC2100, however, I read on somewhere that it also work using PC2700 after flashing the new BIOS.

My question is what about the performance if I change my memory from PC2100 to PC2700?

Will I get a better performance?

I am currently using PC2100 1GB on my A31p Thinkpad.

Chances are the memory speed will remain to run at PC2100 speeds so my guess is no.

Be careful with the memory you buy. Thinkpads are very picky!
