thinking outside the box

Hello, this is my first post here!

I'm about to build a new system. The box I have sucks so I will definitely be getting a new one. I keep my PC under a shallow counter (front-to-back shallow) with a door, so looks are NOT important. What is important is being able to access the front and back without having to move the darn box around all the time. Impossible? Aren't there any boxes with buttons, leds, and 3.5/5.25 bay access on the side panel??? That way I could move the box to the back corner, side panel facing out, and have access to everything without having to move the box. Having to get on my hands and knees and get in that cabinet and swing the darn box around every time I need to get to the back panel is a pain. There has to be another way....

I have searched and cannot find any (other than that funky european thing on another thread which I am not interested in). Also it would have to be "value" proced as I am a penny pincher from hell.

I say build your own. Every other site has a "build your own acrylic" box guide now. I just don't see why you can't build a very simple box with back panel and switches and drive bays facing the same direction, or 90 degress off.
