Thinking of using Cisco 605 pci card, but want to network

I have the opportunity for free DSL, but need a modem. Did a search and found the Cisco 605 for $69.00 so I am considering it. However I want to network 3 or 4 systems to this DSL connection. My question is can I use a PCI card and a router, like the SMC 4 port with firewall? I've done a little networking but DSL it totally new to me. I've got lots of junk systems to work with so could I just build a server?
