Thinking of using Amazon giftwrap service?

So my g/f works for a large financial company and her and a bunch of people she works with volunteered for the March of Dimes this morning to wrap presents. So she assumes it's wrapping presents for underprivileged kids or something like that. Finds out it's at a local Amazon warehouse/shipping center which seemed a little odd. They get there and they're actually wrapping presents for people who have ordered stuff on Amazon. Turns out Amazon pays the March of Dimes 75 cents for each gift they wrap. In the end I guess the March of Dimes gets a check but they had 10 people there for 3 hours wrapping 400 presents. So March of Dimes basically gets $300. Now the woman doesn't have the highest paying job in the world but she gets paid much more than $10/hr so her company would have been a helluva a lot better off just cutting the March of Dimes a check. Plus Amazon is probably taking a tax cut on what they're "donating" to the March of Dimes.

Best part was one of the gifts had a note (they could read them all so think about that when you're filling it out) that said "Dear soandso, heard you wanted some albino poop for christmas". The gift? KFed's cd. :)

Kfed is a bitch

Amazon just reinvented outsourcing!

I'm going to start a farm and pay the Red Cross 15 cents for every head of lettuce some office dork picks in my field. Then I'll use that cost as a tax write off! Totally legal! What a paradigm shift - outsourcing by Guilt!

Haha, amazon charges like 4.50 for gift wrap and then outsources it to some shmucks for 75 cents. Brilliant!
