Thinking of upgrading...

I have a gtx780 currently and I have been eyeing how low prices on the 780ti have gotten, some as low as 500$... Would a 780ti be a worthwhile upgrade? Or should I wait for GM200? I should note I game at 1440p currently and have a 4k monitor. Any advice is welcome!

Are there any games you need the extra horsepower for? I'd say wait, but sometimes the upgrade itch just needs to be scratched.

I know I want to run The Witcher 3 at 4k, but that gives me to February. I guess I am just itching to upgrade, so I guess I am just trying to resist for as long as possible!

well going from a 780 to 780 ti at 4k for upcoming demanding games is useless. you might want to just go 970 sli if you really want something now.

by the way what are the rest of your specs???

I7 4790k
Asrock Z97 Pro3
16gb Corsair vengeance pc1600
Samsung 840 Evo SSD
2tb Seagate HD
Firepower Modstream Pro 700W PSU (from my last rig in 2009)
Asus Xonar soundcard (DG I think)

My current motherboard will not support SLI, not enough slots.
