Thinking of upgrading Video Card

I was looking at upgrading my current video card from a 5770 to a 6870. I'm a little concerned over the size of the 6870 card. Does someone know the dimensions of the 6870 reference card size vs the 5770 reference card size?

Well It's bigger than ATI 5770 but not sure how much bigger ,

But where are you still upgrading it 🙂 Its still an awesome card , you will sell it right ? What will be the price ( if your selling )

I upgraded from a 5770 to a 6870. It BAAAAAAAAAAAAARELY fit in my HP Pavilion case, but it fit, and without smashing, crunching or bending anything to do it. It was a nice frame rate upgrade @1080P for me (and I was able to sell the 5770) so the net $155 cost of the 6870 was worth it.

I saw pictures of 5870 vs 5850 vs 5770. No question a 5850 would fit in my case. Not so sure about a 5870.

I'm about ready to just go ahead and pull the trigger on this. If it doesn't fit, its just an excuse to buy a bigger case. (Not that I like ripping out Motherboards)

I don't think I am going to sell it. I'll probably give it to my dad who has an ancient 8600GT in his box.

I'm guessing the 6870 is on a PCB the size of a 5870. I'm hoping its closer to 5850 size since I am sure that one will fit. There is a photo fo a 5770, 5850 and 5870 on the anandtech reviews of video cards sometime last year.
