thinking of updating ATi drivers - benefits of Omega over Cat?

Hi
my 9500 pro is stable but [to my eye] slightly sluggish with the Cat 3.7s; i was considering upgrading to Cat3.10 for increased speed [mainly when switching resolution etc].

heard alot about the Omegas [as well as the contentious review with Cat/Omega?DNA] and wonder what benefits and perils users find using Omega over Cat or vice versa

Thanks

They may improve IQ a little bit and may also perform better, though, 3.10 are really good too.

I'm running the Omega's based on the 3.7 Cats. Zero problems so far.

But to answer your question, one of the benefits of Omega over standard Cats are having a built-in overclocking tool.

That's one awkward sentence

Anyway, I think you will see a larger performance advantage in Omega drivers with slower mainstream video cards. In your case, I would really suggest you try the Omegas. They have worked wonders for me with both their nvidia and ati drivers.

EDIT: spelling on word "sentence" lol

okay then to put is slightly differently too:
is there [in your guys' experience] any real world benefit upgrading from 3.7 to 3.10 [cat or omega]

ths is obviosly ignoring the "if it works dont change it mantra"!

According to the last review between the ATI drivers and Omega drivers the only real speed difference is in OpenGl games.

Stability on the 3.10 drivers are a lot better than 3.7. ( Omega and Ati )

Also a few improvements.

Using 3.10 and did not have any problem whatsoever.

Updated to 4.1 today.
