Thinking of these parts for a new shuttle...

Well, I sold off a number of systems (laptop, shuttle, and big A64 3400+ system) ... now pooling some of that money for this:

The only part I am not real excited about is:
Radeon X300 SE PCI Express 128MB DDR Video Card w/TV-Out & DVI

PCI express seems to be a little used standard, hopefully that will change and I can upgrade in the future... on the flip side of that though I dont really want anything with a fan in this little box...

Any thoughts on this thing? Itching to pull the trigger.....

Looks good, cept like you said, thats a weak video card. Make sure the PSU can cool that monster chip/HDD.

i had a prescott 478 in an old shuttle, then moved to northwood... didnt notice much temp diff.

plus, socket 775 is prescott only

bumped down to 3 ghz and 200gb sata - saves a few hundred...
