I took C/C++ there and passed it with a B and received a lot of new knowledge of programming that my high school didn't provide (What makes a language Object Oriented, etc). I've been playing around with C++ for about 2 years now and nothing has really happen. My programming friend wants to start over in a new language since he knows what to expect and he knows the similarities between C++ and Java. I think he could be really good but he just doesn't seem to want to program on his leisure time. He's still kind of interested in programming a game but I told him I don't think it will be any easier in Java and maybe C++ would actually still be better due to the diversity. I'm taking it just for the hell of it and to get four credits for practically nothing. I plan on being an artist and writer for the game we might make but I think it's best that I at least am on the same page as him and have a general idea of Java.
As far as career goes, I'm indifferent as long as it is in the entertainment industry. I've got my groove back for drawing but 2D artists are a dime-a-dozen nowadays. I mean really, what field in the computer industry isn't packed full of people? Programmers are ubiquitous which is one thing I know and web designers are also very common but talent differs for each. Animation seems tedious and time consuming but I still don't know a whole lot about it to judge it.
