If you are wanting to check out Sprint try this;

Virgin Mobile uses the same system as sprint - you can buy a phone outright from Virgin Mobile for around $100 - not the greatest but they will work to try out Sprint's coverage in your area - sign up on their month to month program - $35 to $55 a month. If it works for you then upgrade to Sprint (or stay with Virgin Mobile's cheaper plans) - if not your output is minimal.

The $55 Virgin Mobile plan is unlimited everything, don't know if they throttle after a certain amount of data or not.

That seems like a horrible idea actually... Why would I toss around that much money and waste that much time to demo their network?
