The freedom to go wherever you want, do whatever you like, and say whatever you feel is what makes America great .... the right to come and go as one pleases .... Getting into a car with a couple of buddies and driving off for a few days with nowhere special to go. Hanging out all afternoon in a bar.

that darn USMC won't let me take off for a beer in the middle of a firefight! heck!
