Pretty much a helmet and that's it... needs to be an new Snell rating... SA2000 should last you quite a while but I think you can get away with SA95. I got a 4pt racing harness to keep me firmly planted in the seat. About $80 but not a neccesity... you have Recaros in the Shelby anywho.
Have you checked out your possible classing as your car currently is? And LSD would more than likely throw you into either a modified (DMod) or Street Modified class. And if you're running the Shelby CSX in StreetMod... you'll have to run against people with over 25k of work in their cars... modded Supras, RX7s, turbo Neons, turbo ITRs, AWD DSMs, S4s, Vettes...etcetc. I was stuck in StreetMod last year due to crappy rules changes against backdating blowoff valves (since reversed)... my @$$ was whupped. I almost always placed next to last or in the back part of a ever-shrinking pack especially since nearly all my competition was running race tires.
Being in a modified class... OUCH... you're running against completely gutted, rollcaged full race cars with race tires.
More and more people from StreetMod moved to STX or STS, I'm going to be doing the same this coming year (Street Tire classes).
If you have a local NASA (no not the govt agency) group, their classing system makes so much more sense and is friendlier to a mod like an LSD.

NASA even has track days! Too bad this po @$$ boy can't afford track days yet... need lotsa $$ for track time and track capable brakes... don't wanna have to change my brake pads at the end of the day.
PM me if you have any questions... SCCA rules/classing is a bitch.
