I just started using a Celeron 633@950 two weeks ago, and have found some stuff ive sold, giving me the ability to now upgrade even further to a PIII. I have a first revision Abit BH-6 board, that even with the latest bios flash, doesnt support any PIII's over 600 MHz, which sucks 🙁 My question is this, I am considering getting a PIII Coppermine CPU, which mobo would you guys suggest? I have a mid ATX tower, running a 250W PS. The rest of the components you see listed below. I need one ISA slot as I STILL have a USR 56K Sportster (no broadband avail here :| ). All that being said, go ahead and shoot me some info jerkys!!! j/k of course.....

Well, I don't think they are any P3 900 available to us cunsumers anywhere. So its either a 850 for 100 Mhz bus support, or you can go the route with a 933 with a MB that supports a 133 Mhz FSB. A 815 chipset board, or a Via apollo Pro 133a board. I believe they both will support running the memory at 100 Mhz and the FSB at 133.

why bother? Your celeron benches like a PIII 800. A) would you notice the difference with ANY available PIII B) would the value of that be worthwhile?

My philosophy is, if there isn't going to be a 20% increase in performance, it's not worth upgrading/OCing.

How much of a boost do you really expect a PIII 900 to give over your Cel950?
