Thinking of getting WOW

Use to play mud's all the time (text based game), and I have been thinking of getting WOW. Is it possible to advance at all playing maybe an hour-two hours a day?

It'll take a long time to hit level 60 at that rate. Especially if you even attempt to do quests and have fun.

People that "power level" and have leveled many alts can hit 60 in about 2 weeks. But those guys are nuts..

yes indeed. if your player is inactive you build up "rest" (longer you are inactive, the more rest you accumulate). while you are rested you get double experience, so this help close the gaps btw you and people that can play 8 hours a day. later in the game, you will find that you want to set aside a few hours to go through some of the larger instanced zones with a group of people. i play about 2 hrs a day, maybe less even, and have a blast.

Yes, you can advance in one to two hours a day but you won't be able to do any of the late game dungeons.

i don't want to waste my life on a video game. i'd rather spend my time learning something useful or spending time with friends.

Yeah, 2 hrs/day is totally doable. If you want to finish some of the larger quests/instances, you may have to allocate a 3-4 hour block once in a while to group up and do it. You won't hit 60 in a couple of weeks, but I've been playing since Feb and I'm at 53, and had a total blast every step of the way.

Is thread-crapping something you consider "learning something useful" or "spending time with friends?" 😕

yes.

Good for you? You're one of billions of people around the world who have briefly considered a purchase before making a decision.

I'm at lvl 53 with a /played of 21+ days. 😱

Of course, I've been hardcore PvPing ever since AV and WG came out.

My best advice is to try it for the free month. It is doable to enjoy it for 1-2 hours day.

Oh and I guess my advice is misleading, the month isn't exactly free, you still have to buy the game.
