Thinking of getting another Pci-e 6600gt and SLI board

As the title says. I already have a 6600gtPci-e from evga and would like to know if I can get a different manufacturer and run with mine in SLI or do they have to be the same. Want to go to SLI for better overall performance and overclocking not to mention a lot better video. Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks
 
I believe you need the same manufactored card not to sure....but u should just selll ur 6600GT and buy a 6800GT or wait alittle untell prices drop on the 7800 series cards
