thinking of getting a TV

So I'm on the market for a new TV. My budget (including a fixed wall mount and everything) is about 500 CAD. Not really sure what to get, in terms of supposed quality.

I'm only considering LCD, not LED, only because of my budget. I can pick up a 39" 1080p Best Buy brand panel for like 300 bucks. I don't know though. Buying this "Insignia" stuff seems a bit dodgy.

Thoughts? I'm just not sure if I'd rather a supposedly higher quality, brand-name 32", or a passable 39" for the same price.

btw I don't really use consoles or anything. I'm just going to hook up an HDTV antenna to it and that's it. So yea, connectivity isn't really a priority.

I got my 40" Toshiba LED LCD for 500 about 6 months ago. if you just want a simple screen mount sometimes you can pick them up for about 25$.

Pick if want size or quality. At that price you aren't getting both.
I guess I'm wondering if the brand-name ones really are of higher quality, to any appreciable degree. Like, I've heard the in-house brands use brand-name parts anyway.

Get your wall mount at Monoprice.

In your price range, just get a 42" plasma. Your other options are low-quality LCDs.
