It might have been a Russian Blue

Gorgeous cat... smokey grey fur... almost looks like suede. Has round eyes. Purebreeds will have green eyes. If you move the fur and look at the skin, it is bluish grey.

Excellent temperment!!! Loving and affectionate.

The one in this pic... was thrown out of a moving vehicle on a busy highway... probably cause he has a white spot and is not 'show' quality. The b/f ran across three lanes of traffic to save him. He was soooo tiny that his eyes were not even open yet. We have had him for over 5yrs.... what a good boy he is.

:)

Wow is that a true story?

If it is you guys are really cool

Yes, it is a very true story.... Anyone who lives in NJ might know the highway area where Routes 17 & 46 merge ... right by polifly road.... right by The Crow's Nest. The traffic there is REALLY heavy! We were driving in the car with the windows closed and the music blasting and I was singing and sooo not paying attention... but the b/f, being ever alert was like... Holy Cow!! did you see that? and I looked ans saw the kitten hit the road, and start running along the little 3 inch area between the divider and highway... we quickly did a double U-Turn... the whole time, I was saying... "God, please... I am not asking to be 5' 9" 130LBS and gorgeous. I am not asking for winning lottery #'s... just let us get there and get him... help us help one of yours. And I swear on my eyesight... Honest... when the b/f pulled over the traffic was like THREE cars total from the time he got out of the car until he got back in with the kitten, then traffic picked up again. Not a religous person at all, but it is what it is...

and that is a 100% true, hand on heart story.... click the link in my last post to see all my crew.

:)

But you should get one they make great pets.

Karen, your cats are so awesome. The pic of Robin, posing for the camera, is pricless. I also love the one of Muppet sitting/squatting on the brown couch. I love it when cats do that.

Wonderful stories, Karen. The world is a much better place with people like you around.

That is Isabel. HERE is a pic of her a little while ago while taking pics of the grey one.

We had to ... hmmm... her treatment included... shampoos three times a week where we had to put the medicated shampoo on her, wait 10minutes then rinse (try holding a feral shampooed cat for 10 minutes). She had liquid medicine that needed to be rubbed on her twice a day that kinda burned her and she had to take pills twice a day that were toxic, so we had to watch her for 2 hours after she took it to make sure she did not go into convulsions.

This was her treatment for 6 weeks. She hated it, but look at her now. And she has a few little spots where her ringworm was that hair will never grow. They are tiny, but we see them as battle scars.

I ADORE her. (and in case you handn't noticed, I love to talk about my kitties ;) )

:)

Could have been a Russian Blue.

Nah... I am not a great person or anything.. in fact, I am one of the biggest bi!ches on the planet. But... when I die, I suspect it will go something like this:

I get to the pearly gates and St. Peter meets me there and says "The big Guy wants a word with you" and I follow... every bad, mean and hurtful thing I have ever done racing thru my mind along with visions of being shot into hell to burn for eternity .... and I get there... before God with a long list of all my transgressionswho looks at me and says... "You! You screwed up soooo many times.... that cat thing, however... that cat thing squeeked you in to heaven, but you gotta sit in the back!"

Seriously though... between food and treats and toys and litter and flea/tick medicine and vet bills and etc... we go for about $350-400 a month. But I sold the new car I had a few years ago and no longer have payments cause I got a $1,000. escort. I would rather give the $$$ to the kitties than a car loan. My car gets me where I gotta go the same way the expensive one did. A VERY worthwhile tradeoff imho!
