my question is if anyone has had big problems purchasing fom googlegear.com cause there prices are considerably cheaper then newegg right now. also would there be much difference in getting the regular nf7 since i don't need serial ata or does the board not perform as well?

There have been some isolated complaints about Googlegear, but they are a good company to do business with. There won't be a performance difference between the two boards, but you will lose features such as Soundstorm and Firewire along with SATA, that you mentioned. What ever you want though. Peace.
