A simple warning to all those of you out there which seem think that an SMP system would be nice and are looking at the ASUS A7M266-D, don't buy it. Look around and you will fine that nearly no one has been able to get WindowsXp to operate on it with a Geforce3 Video card. It makes no diffrence what driver release of other driver is installed it simply does not work and ASUS has been unwilling to admit to the problem or mention when we can see if fixed. Do not end up like me with a great system (specs below) which you can only use in 2D.

PS. many people say it works with a GF2, just not any GF3.

System Specs:
MB: ASUS A7M266-D
CPU: Dual XP1800+ (tested and working as SMP)
RAM: 2 PC3000 Cas2.5 running at PC2100 Cas2.5
PS: 550 Enermax, maxs out at 621watts
External PCI buses:
PCI64-1:Adaptec 29160
1 seagate cheetah (ST318451LC) 18gig 15K
PCI64-2: SB Audgy
PCI32-1: USB2.0 controller
PCI32-2: 3COM 3c905 NIC
PCI32-3:Adaptec2940UW
1 Plextor 8x20 CDR
1 Pioneer DVD-rom
4 Hitachi 18gig UW2 HD (external)
OS: WindowsXP Pro. with all cirtical and driver updates listed at MS update.

An upset  purchaser of an ASUS A7M266-D sick of 2D gaming.
