Thinking about vostro 1700

I'm strongly considering buying the dell vostro 1700 for 829+tax with the below specs.

1.8ghz dual core, 2 gigs ram, 8600 gt, 320 gig hd, cd/dvd burner.

From looking over deal forums and such it seems that most of the vostro coupons have disappeared. I've been reading lots of great things about this notebook.

I'm am curious what other alternatives there are to this notebook before i get it. Weight is not an issue for me. This notebook will be using for adobe stuff and gaming. Thanks 🙂
 
That's a pretty good deal. Other good choices would be an Asus laptop or some of Gateway's higher end models... I'm just going off of newegg here, so if you look very very hard you might be able to find something a bit better. I'd go with the Vostro, though.
