What kind of fish? Tuna? lol. Big fat sardines are the staple of my daily diet and low on the food chain so you know heavy metals won't usually be in them.

Are you eating tofu Kaido? If so, I would worry big time about the soy that you're consuming.

I just know that they ate a lot of fresh fish, I think pulled from the NY area. I've done canned tuna on a daily basis for years with no issues myself (afaik) & I also eat a lot of salmon. Blood tests haven't shown anything bad so far!

As far as tofu goes, I have a family member with a soy allergy, so we generally avoid soy-based products in our house because of that (I use substitutes like coconut aminos instead). However, if you dig past the broscience of soy & into the actual data, there are some surprising things about soy (including tofu) that is vastly different from the word-of-mouth slander it gets. This is an excellent article on it:

http://zenhabits.net/soy/

With that said, pediatricians don't push soy formula for dairy-allergic babies anymore because it is known to cause thyroid problems by the time they're toddlers - a result very specific to developing children rather than fully-grown adults. Although I do have an (adult) friend who switched to a soy-based diet & developed thyroid problems as a result. But those are literally the only two instances I have heard of it being negative - (1) as a primary food source for infants, and (2) for one specific adult who switched to eating primarily soy for years.

Have to be careful of fish...my friend's family ate fresh fish multiple times a week & the entire family got mercury poisoning after a few years (no joke).

He has shown me the list of how much mercury is in each particular fish. The lower in the food chain the fish is the less mercury the fish usually contains. Did you know that light tuna in the can contains less mercury than fresh tuna?

100% agree - doctors treat symptoms & are not much into prevention. And when's the last time you saw a skinny doctor? lol. I'd be hesitant to even listen to most nutritionists given what I've learned about food, haha.

He is thin.

You've also got a doctor who lives in a passive house & recommends hemp in your diet, so he's already above-average in terms of practicing what he preaches ;)

That's cool - does it get cooked out during the canning process?

Okay ive cut it into blocks and microwaved it. Tastes better than raw, I deem it acceptable

Ill experiment more with this stuff in the future, see what kinda flavor I can give it.
