Thinking about switching from 24" DELL to 32 or > TV

im using the widescreen 24" dell lcd.. and mind you it is fantastic. The resolution is great at 1900x1200 but I recently saw a setup at my job where they were using LCD tv's instead of monitors.

I don't remember the size/model of the tv but it was HUGE for a pc display.

I know that if I choose this route than my resolution will not be as good as with a monitor, but can someone recommend me an LCD TV to use as a monitor that they have experience with or have used themselves.

I imagine that even at ~1300x???? games/apps would be decent on a 32 or greater tv.

Anyways, I tried a 27" HDTV LCD. Definately not as good as the 24" widescreen which I have now.

Honestly I would only get an HDTV LCD if it would do 1080p or a simliar resolution.

depends...for 1080i material it looks better,and of course for pc use, but for regualr tv watching it'll be fine.....

I was jsut followign the OPs intention of replacing his monitor and replied with monitor-criterea type nagging

Have you tried messing with overscan / underscan options? It seems like you've got a border around your screen?

No I haven't really had a chance to play with much of anything on it unfortunately.
