Thinking about refurbished speakers.

I am thinking about getting some refurbished speakers, particularly Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 from newegg. These speakers are expensive, I'd like any discount I can get. My old speakers, somehow my wires got cut, definitely makes me angry, but my speakers were pretty crappy. Just wondering your thoughts on refurb speakers, is it a good idea or not?
