It is not bad at all.. I'm about to move into a house with a bunch of roomates but I can't complain about having my own place. Some people think it's sad and will say "You live by yourself" in a condescending manner, which is sort of funny. Just keep your friends around if you're still depressed about your ex, so you don't end up drinking alone and staying at home.

But it sounds like you need to get out of there ASAP. You'll get over her so much quicker as long as you don't have to see her every day.. in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you never will get over her if you keep seeing her.

living alone is pretty cool but having good roomates is even funner... crappy roomates REALLY suck though so its a tough call...
