Thinking about going to UFC 117, in Oakland...

Is Oracle arena in a relatively safe area? I've never been to Oakland, and as I understand it there are places where I probably don't want to be. Hoping the venue for UFC is not one of those places.

OP: To answer your question, no. The area around the arena is fairly shitty.

But you will be fine if you park in the arena lot or take BART.
